-Ways to support the journey project-

There are many different ways to show support and be a part of this adventure. One of the most critical aspects is to follow the blog and YouTube channel.

A “thru-hike” or “thru-bike” packing tour on one of the The National Scenic Trails requires a lot of planning. These adventures require a lot of planning and many unexpected things can happen along the way. Serendipitous help along the trail by strangers is called “Trail Magic”. Those who provide it are called “Trail Angels.” This help can come in the form of a ride, food, shelter, money, gear, or companionship on the trail. Sometimes it’s just a cold drink at a road crossing. So any help beyond social media support will be considered “Trail Magic”. Below is a list of different kinds of trail magic and how to get on the trail.

Ways to be a Trail Angel and provide Trail Magic-

  • Join me on the trail! For a few hours, the day, a week, or longer.
  • Mailing packages through the post offices “general delivery” service is as old as the postal service. There will be plenty of options to send care packages. You can use general delivery or send them to individuals and businesses that offer a “drop box.” Just contact me for more information on how to take part in this interactive support.
  • Even out on the trail there will be days where a hot shower, laundry, and bed are necessary. There are plenty of mom and pop accommodations. These include hostels and hotels. This can be a lifesaver during those rough periods of inclement weather. This magic is most helpful on planned resupply stops in towns along the trail and routes.
  • Any other donations are greatly appreciated. You can follow this link to my Patreon.
  • An excellent way to support me on the trail is to assist the organizations and people that make the trails accessible. They fight to sustain them for future generations. • Finally, I will be a lead guide for Bike the US for MS this year taking an amazing team across the United States on the Northern Tier Route. For more information about the team check us out! Northern Tier Team and route information.
